Kamakura Guided Tour: Between Shrines, Nature, and the Sea
Kamakura guided tour: As a guide, I had the pleasure of welcoming Sareth, who came from France, for a memorable day in Kamakura. We began our journey at Sasuke Inari Shrine, where the magnificent paths lined with bright red torii gates gradually led us into a world of tradition and serenity.
We then explored the mysterious cave of Zeniarai Benzaiten, a sacred place where visitors wash their coins to attract good fortune, surrounded by the freshness of the air and the subtle echoes of the shrine’s history.
Continuing along steep and secluded trails, we enjoyed the silence of the hills without encountering a single soul — a rare immersion in the preserved nature of Kamakura.
Later, we savored a bowl of matcha tea in a charming teahouse with an exceptional Zen garden, the perfect setting to slow down and fully appreciate the present moment.
After boarding the charming Enoden train, the tour concluded at Inamuragasaki Cape, where we admired the majestic view of the ocean and the Enoshima Peninsula. Mount Fuji hid behind the clouds that day, yet the beauty of the coastline more than made up for its absence.
This Kamakura guided tour was filled with culture, peaceful moments, and discoveries of the timeless beauty of Kamakura, Japan’s former capital.
